FHTM - Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing - Good Opportunity Or Just Another Con?

By Mark Pepper

FHTM - Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing: Has all the smells and bells of a great opportunity. It combines a multitude of products and services that people use everyday. The FHTM compensation plan has the potential for good return on investment. Founded in 2001 by Paul Orberson, the company is located in Lexington, Kentucky. They have a experienced and qualified management team backing the company. Plus they're 100% debt free and financially solid.

PROS:

1. FHTM has the potential to be a good vehicle by which a person can create a beneficial return on his or her efforts. The compensation plan is easy to follow, manuals and training material is straight forward and easy to understand.

2. FHTM University is easy to navigate, user friendly but primarily focuses on product and services offered thru their portal. One can download applications, buy DVD's, flip charts, forms, pay their renewal fees & upgrades. Reps can do extensive research on all the main providers in the telecom, health&wellness, entertainment, travel and beauty solutions offered by FHTM.

The university is also a great way to stay connected with what's happening in FHTM, thru conference calls, meetings and announcements of upcoming events / postings. Weekly updates keep you informed of any changes in the current promotions of products, services. " How To" guides assist the reps when signing up new customers and the procedures to handle any issue should they arise.

3. FHTM Training Manuals:

- Overview of FHTM, history, founder and the leadership team.

- Products & services, top 10 providers in detail for establishing your customer usage points.

- Company overview, complete top to bottom coverage of Compensation Plan.

- Training information, basic instruction on showing DVD presentations

- Forms & worksheets, "How to Guides" filling out forms, setting goals and quick start

business plan

CONS:

1. FHTM Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing still uses a "Warm" market approach of family and friends as your single method for growing your FHTM business. This accounts for some of the highest representative turn over rates in MLM history. Yet it is still strictly enforced in all the training material, DVD's, presentations and conference calls. They continue to simplify their approach instead of helping their representatives learn how to effectively grow their business. So if you're in FHTM for the long haul using this marketing model, then be prepared for endless hours of frustration with little or no progress to show for all your effort.

In conclusion FHTM Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing is a great vehicle by which one can accomplish great things for their family and others. They're a solid company with a sound compensation plan and have established themselves for the long haul in the Home Based Business Industry. However if the "Warm Market" approach is not working for you, you need to find a more effective ways to grow your FHTM Business.

Fortune Hi Tech Marketing Review - A Pyramid Scam Or Genuine MLM Opportunity?

By Neil Butler

Fortune Hi Tech Marketing is a business opportunity that connects a range of products to sales representatives who want to make an online income. You can become an FHTM business owner no matter what kind of background you have in online selling - which, the website claims, is a great way to earn a living. After a search on their website you will discover that the program is $249 for all new sales representatives.

Is Fortune Hi Tech Marketing A Scam?

This money-making system is based on the principles of a multi level marketing plan, which is also known by the abbreviation MLM. You have probably heard of these kinds of programs before, as they've been widely criticised for the fact that they have simply become pyramid schemes. This means that the people at the top will benefit from the profits, where the people at the bottom simply pay money and never see it back. But it's important to remember that not all MLM programs are pyramid schemes! Pyramid schemes are illegal in the US, whereas MLM schemes are not all illegal. The Federal Trade Commission helps you to distinguish the legal programs from the illegal ones by stating that legal products must have a number one aim of selling products, rather than just recruiting new members. Since Fortune Hi Tech Marketing provides a number of different products, they are a legal version of an MLM program. This means that FHTM comes with the potential of profits, though it's important to research further into whether you're ever likely to see them.

Will You Ever Make Money?

When you sign up to the program there is a wide range of products to sell, which range from services to communications and beauty. Those who use the program have an excellent choice of what to sell, but unfortunately past members claim that the products are almost impossible to market. Fortune Hi Tech Marketing is not an illegal scam, but read reviews scattered round the internet and you'll find that the products don't hold much potential. And if the product cannot be sold, money is very difficult to get back. This is why I would recommend you take your $249 elsewhere and find a product and program that really takes you through what you need to know to make a profitable online business.

Warnings About Fortune High Tech Marketing

By Scott Matchett

Approximately one year ago, my wife did a funny thing. She went to a meeting on marketing. Now, that may not seem funny to you, however if you knew my wife you would see the humor. My darling wife HATES marketing - or I should say hated marketing.

Her mother took her. God bless the woman!!

Well, I really quite like my mother-in-law and my wife assured me that it was very much unlike her mother to ever be interested in any marketing things so it must be good.

I didn't go to any meetings with her because I thought "this is her thing" and if she wanted to go to meetings two or three nights a week, that was up to her. And she did. She wrote a check for hundreds of dollars, got the initiation package from UPS, and was hyped right up.

Here is the problem with FHTM. My wife never actually made any money.

She could not get anyone else interested, friends, family, or strangers. No matter what she tried, she could not get anyone to go with her to these overbearing, over hyped, meetings.

You see, once my wife was on the inside of the FHTM circle she learned a number of things that nobody told her before she wrote that first big check.

For example, FHTM has a points system (that part they tell you upfront). You need to pay your money and then (this part they don't tell you) you must earn a number of points every single month in order to keep your status. If you fail to earn your points, you don't earn the promised commissions.

When my wife realized she was not making her commissions, even though she was earning her points, she called the head office to find out why. The reason? The points had all been going to the top brass. My wife immediately called her mother as well as the one other person she convinced to get involved and suggested they look at their commissions to ensure they had been getting all their points. Turns out they hadn't been.

Both of them phoned the 1-800 number and found out that a good portion of their points had also been going to the top brass. No wonder they were the top dogs, they were getting EVERYONE'S points. I wonder, if my wife didn't miss her commissions and phone the company, would the rich guys just have kept getting richer while the ones doing the work were being overlooked?

Another problem my wife quickly learned was that, while the concept was excellent, most of the products were not actually available in our - or most other - areas. No matter how excellent a product is, it's a tough sell when it's actually unavailable to the customer.

Long distance? Not available. Internet connections? Not available. Local phone connections? Not available. Hm.... that's a problem.

I suppose if you live in just the right area (which I'm not too sure where those areas are), and you really enjoy dragging people to meetings two or three nights a week, this might just be the marketing business for you. But, if you are like most people and would rather stay home or spend your free time with friends NOT at a meeting, and sell products that are actually available, then keep looking. Fortune High Tech Marketing is not for you.... or my wife.

Fortune High Tech Marketing - Is it a Scam?

By Scott Matchett and Kimm Reidmatchett

Fortune High Tech Marketing is not what it appears. When they say it is not a pyramid, they are not being completely upfront, nor are they outright lying. FHTM may very well be a money machine, as is represented, but it is very difficult to get to the level required in order to make any real money. FHTM has a minimal buy in price, at only a few hundred dollars. While some make that initial fee back within days, others never see it returned. There are numerous reasons for such a diverse outcome.

First, if you are in Canada, you may as well forget it. There are limited FHTM products available in Canada and the ones that are available have ridiculous monthly fees attached. Also, the products that are available in Canada, while certainly excellent products, have enormous shipping fees attached, making the reasonably priced product, now overpriced.

Second, the number of meetings that one must attend and bring their friends and family to are on the ridiculous side. There are the Saturday training meetings that take up most of the day, the weekly or bi-weekly meetings that one is suppose to take friends to in order to entice them to sign up, and finally, the week long training seminars (for the really motivated ones). Now, who wants to go to work all day just to sit in a meeting with four or five of their neighbors and friends? It is very difficult to entice people to go to these meetings when they are really not that interested.

Now, if they look at the payment plan, they may be a bit more interested, but getting them to come out to the meetings to actually see that payment plan is tedious and frustrating. As a representative of FHTM, it is difficult to get people interested and you need them to sign up in order for you to make any money.

With this said, FHTM has excellent potential. That is if one enjoys long meetings, listening to hyped up millionaires go on and on about how much money they make, and live in the USA. Even the big cash cows spend a large portion of their time traveling, being away from family and friends, and rushing through life just to get as many people as possible on their 'team.'

Personally, I would much rather stop the rush of life, relax in my home and spend time with family and friends. Is there a way to earn a great living while relaxing at home? You bet!! Where there's a will, there's a way - a great, simple, and fun way!

Blessings

What Went Wrong With FHTM?

By Scott Matchett and Kimm Reidmatchett

A few years back, my family made a big move. We left jobs, friends and most of our family and moved out East. That's where the money was, everyone said. As well as the potential big bucks, there were breathtaking mountains and chilly rivers, beautiful homes and endless shopping. We packed up everything and made the move. The money was certainly there, if you could find one of those high paying jobs. The problem was that everyone else was also dragging their families out west for the same jobs and they were going much too fast. So fast, that I did not land one for quite some time.

The bill payments continued to leave my bank account, however, there were still no paychecks going in. I was starting to think about getting worried when I heard about this fantastic "too good to be true" marketing job. A friend of mine had signed up and spent hours at my kitchen table showing me how I could replenish my bank account over and over again. My wife and I were skeptical, so I went to a few meetings. I even took a few of my new friends to meetings to get their opinions. We all thought the same thing, "this just makes sense." I got out my checkbook, made a few pen strokes, and a few hundred dollars later, I was a proud member of FHTM.

A week later, the training binder and videos arrived at my door and my wife and I sat down and watched them religiously day after day. We wanted to ensure we had all the information correct so that when questions came, we had the answers. The sad truth was that when the questions came, they were not the ones we expected and we ended up having no answers. The questions were things like, "Sure, I can get this product in my area but why do I need to pay a monthly service fee?" Or, "Why can't I get this product in my area?" Long distance was one of the main products but sadly, what we were not told was that long distance was not available in most of the country.

Another major issue that we were not told, was about the training that was required through meetings, meetings, and more meetings. Dragging friends and family to meetings was a definite necessity and we quickly found out that our friends and family did not want to attend meetings two or three times a week. They did not want to give up their Friday evenings or Saturdays to attend long boring training seminars. I certainly believe there were those few individuals at the top who, if in the right location, did make significant money. I also believe those individuals were very few. Every single person I know who was involved with FHTM has not renewed their annual registration fees and would much rather have their initial buy in fees back in their pockets. Now, I have not been involved in many marketing businesses but I can honestly say that those I have been involved with have cost me significant amounts of cash with little to no return.

Until now!!! My wife and I are upright, trustworthy people. We believe in personal integrity and upfront honesty. We believe God has a plan for our lives and we walk in His plan every day. Together we have started a nonprofit organization for single parent families that is very successful and we believe that fundraising is unnecessary. Because of these beliefs, we needed to figure out a way to completely fund the organization, as well as make a living from it without asking others for money. Not an easy task!! But, we did. Together, my wife and I work from home, allowing us to travel and host weekend workshops as well as spend time writing and publishing numerous books for single parents and their children.

Working in online business has certainly given us what we needed, plus so much more. Not only have we been able to quit our measly paying jobs and work from home (or wherever we happen to have our laptop) we have discovered the time to enjoy life, making significant money while we do the things we love to do. There is nothing that can compare to having money deposited into our bank accounts in very significant amounts while we take friends to lunch or our kids to the zoo.

Having time to do what we enjoy is priceless, however, we are getting paid very well to do just that - whatever we want!! Would you like to enjoy the same freedoms in your life? Would you rather enjoy life doing whatever it is you love to do or rush through the tedious workday just to repeat the same day tomorrow? Why not try something different? You know the old saying, "If you want to see the same results tomorrow, do the same thing you did today... if you want to see different results tomorrow, do something different today."

Check out my website at http://www.pavedingold.org and make a very significant change for you and your family. Start living the life you deserve!!!

Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing - Is FHTM a Scam?

By Quinn Collins

Last week I spent an hour with a friend of mine, (and a disgusting cup of coffee...) discussing the marketing company FHTM, or Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing. This friend, let's call him John (although his real name is Peter) is heavily involved with Fortune and does fairly well financially within the company. As a marketing coach teaching techniques to people in all different MLMs and home based businesses, I was interested in how this particular company worked, as I speak regularly with others involved in FHTM who can't seem to earn any kind of substantial income within this system.

Whilst John was relatively successful with Fortune, he mentioned a few things that caught my attention.

First of all, I'd like to say that I have personally used some of the range of products sold by reps, and for the most part, I liked what I saw. No real complaints...

However, John began to explain to me a fairly complex compensation plan, which I needed full concentration to comprehend. This payment plan seemed to work on the premise that you find 3 people to join your business, for which you receive a commission. Then for every person who joins one of your 3, you receive a smaller payout - quite a typical MLM style plan. There are certain goals that when achieved jump you up onto the next rung of the ladder, and so your commissions increase. There was a lot of talk about a free Lexus...but from what I understand, they are few and far between.

Secondly, the company relies quite heavily on the concept that you only have to find 3 people to join your team...and who can't find just 3 people? Well, it turns out that a lot of reps struggle to get their 3, so you consequently begin to recruit people yourself, and then pass them on to your downline. Doesn't make much sense...

Thirdly, it seemed to me that this company didn't carry a lot of weight online, but relied on hotel meetings, church meetings, and a LOT of coffee shop one-on-one appointments, which is great if you are a real extroverted people person. However, the quiet introvert had a much tougher time earning any real income.

So, the question remains, "Is FHTM a scam?" Absolutely not...However, I must admit that having worked with people in many different MLM opportunities, Fortune is a tricky one to make complete sense of. The product, whilst very good, are very limited, especially outside of the US. It does feel very much like a friends and family scenario, as opposed to using the vast leverage and power of the internet, and I can say with confidence there are much easier ways to earn a living from home.

John can sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves, so he'll be fine, but for the rest of you, go online!

FHTM - Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing - Is It Really The MLM That Has Everything To Offer?

by Gail Stamp

I believe that it does. There are a lot of MLM companies on the go that make all sorts of claims and promises that somehow just don't add up for some people. I can tell you that I personally have enough experiences in this industry to know that not all companies fit every person out there. Well...I am happy to say that I have found a company that looks to be a good fit for just about anybody. Too many times you hear nightmare stories about people with a garage or basement full of product that they "got stuck with". I was looking for a company where one wouldn't have to buy any product. I found one. I was looking for a company that offered a great support team. I found that too. I was looking for a company that was financially secure with a good solid background and a generous compensation plan. Guess what? I found one.

Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing aka FHTM, founded by multi-millionaire Paul Orberson is to me, the best business opportunity that I have ever come across. This company has a great business system that is based on teamwork. No one gets left behind with this company - unless of course they want to. Like any other company, you have to apply yourself to get your business growing. Is there a fee to sign up? Of course there is. It wouldn't be worth anything if there wasn't. Let me tell you though, it significantly less than the $47,000.00 it cost me to open up my retail and services business.

Before becoming involved with any multi-level marketing company or any other business opportunity for that matter, I always want to know who is behind the company and how well it is currently doing. What I learned was that the man behind Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing is none other than Paul Orberson a.k.a. the "Million-Dollar-A-Month" man. He founded Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing in 2001 with a highly innovative business and compensation plan. After reading an 11 page article in Millionaire Blueprint Magazine which was all about Paul Orberson and FHTM, it was clear to me that this man was sincere in his efforts to help people achieve their own financial freedom through joining Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing. As for the financial security of FHTM, Dunn & Bradstreet gave Fortune a 3A1 rating. In addition, because of this Company's highly motivated and creative sales force, it is sought out by companies all over the world wanting to partner up. Does it get any better than that?

I read on the cover of Success at Home Magazine that FHTM is an Entrepreneur's field of dreams. I believe that it is. It has a solid background, is debt free, provides excellent support and resources and has a compensation plan that has no equal. Some would say that opportunities like this are too good to be true and should be passed over. However, in saying that, would you rather get involved with a company that isn't?

Positively,

Gail L. Stamp

Gail L. Stamp is an entrepreneur at heart and has owned and operated many successful businesses. Always looking for a challenge, she decided that multi-level marketing was the way to go and hence, has begun to create her success in this industry and she is not looking back.
